
A guy gets his face turned into Bolognese sauce by someone who appears to be angry pimp, crawls in agony to his car, and looks in the rearview mirror for awhile. That’s pretty much all that happens in The Fighter, which nevertheless manages, with the aid of stellar sound and composition, to tell a pretty riveting story about about pride and violence.
The Fighter was produced by Book Shorts – which subsidizes short films based on books – and is based on a book of the same name by Canadian writer Craig Davidson.
